Certification & Training
At Kay-Nine, your pet's safety and wellbeing are my top priorities. To ensure I provide the best possible care, I have completed the following certifications and am continually advancing my skills:
Pet First Aid
I hold a current pet first aid certificate provided by New Skills Academy, giving me the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in an emergency. I carry a fully stocked, travel-sized first aid kit on all visits and walks, with a larger kit kept in my van for more serious situations.

Canine First Aid
In addition to general first aid, I've completed two certified canine-specific first aid courses. The first was an online course covering key theory and emergency response. The second was a practical, in-person course provided by Anglia First Aid and Pro Trainings UK at Suffolk New College, where I practised using training aids such as a CPR Resuscitation Dog Manikin. This included CPR, rescue breaths, pulse checks, bandaging and the Heimlich manoeuvre. These skills help me stay prepared in the unlikely event something goes wrong while your dog is in my care.
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
For your peace of mind, I have undergone a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, ensuring that I meet the highest standards of safety and trustworthiness. Evidence available on request.
Insurance
I'm fully insured for all dog walking, pet sitting and pet taxiing services, including public liability and key cover. My vehicle is insured with the appropriate business cover, so your pets are safely and properly covered during any journeys. Evidence of insurance can be provided on request, so you can feel confident that your pets - and your home - are in safe hands.
Professional Development
I am currently enrolled in the Dog Walking & Pet Sitting course at the British College of Canine Studies, further enhancing my skills and knowledge to provide top-quality care for your beloved pets.
